Elijah Melendez

Fundraising & Development Manager

The guiding question for Elijah's high school English class was: "What is the human condition?" He's dedicated his life to finding the answer. In that journey, Elijah met the Lord through a college ministry and has spent his professional career across grassroots community organizations, international missions, free and charitable clinics, education, military service, and student ministry. His work remains grounded in his belief that work is sacramental and that we are called to share our resources with "anyone who has need." (Acts 2:44-45).

Elijah holds an MBA and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and is the founder of Anchor & Oak Strategies, where he guides nonprofits and mission-driven organizations through strategy, development, and operations. Elijah is married to Elizabeth Anne and is the dad to Judah, Malachi, and Sawyer Catherine ("Scout"). They call Charleston, SC, home and worship at the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul in the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina.
